plan for portrait assignment

i have a self portrait assignment coming up and i think in going to take a self portrait of me. i want to shoot it in the gym or in the hallway.i am going to be careful of making sure these photos of me are going to have most of the rules of photography and be sure to make them alot better than my past pictures and i feel this will make my pictures successful..

casual portrait

#1
i chose this because it seems pretty casual its a girl smiling with her hand on her chin so yea..

#2
i chose this because its a guy n his cell phone smiling and its casual because its original and he has a nice blue shirt

photography self portrait

#1
i picked this because it is black and grey BUT hes opening his shirt and hes wearing a superman shirt under and its colorful and POPS that's why i picked it

#2
i like this photo because the girls HOT. and its a good self portrait because shes definately the subject and her hair is flowing around and thats why i picked this photo.

environmental portrait

#1
i picked this photo because its creative and its verry interesting and i like the mountains and the person in the backround
#2
i picked this photo because i like the color of the buildings in the background and i like the guys shirt and how hes leaning on the rail and this photo just caught my eye with the sky and building

self portrat and portraits

1>one tip i really like is....
"you'll always have a willing subject, and you may be able to interpret the "real you" better than others can."

2>another tip i really like is....
"You can also use yourself as a test subject for experimenting with lighting or other creative techniques."

3>another tip i really like is....
"Photographing your shadow is another way to do a self-portrait. Shoot early or late, when the sun is low in the sky. A light, stucco wall, a sidewalk, or any other simple background can suffice. Just be sure there aren't a lot of distractions around the surface you choose."

africa-black and white

when i saw these pictures of animals i was really surprised and it was very exiting to see all of them how they were in black and white and the photo quality was great

this photo is two lions next to eachother. the male lion is laying down(left) the female lion is standing abouve the male lion (right) giving him a head hug.
my favorite thing about this photo is that the photographer did a good job "filling the frame" and got the male and female in the picture.

they used he "filling the frame" rule and filling the frame is were the photorapher filles the whole photo of the main subject(s)

(In 2011 she moved to Houston, TX with her husband, where she was astonished by the abundance of nature and the number of wild birds living in the state of Texas. It reminded her of her childhood spent exploring around forests and rice fields in Japan for hours to find and observe any living creature )
her hope for taking these photos is to get the wildest and exiting animal and nature photos.

this to me was most unethical because the picture wasnt taken at the right time so everythings off.

this to me wat ethical because the timing of the picture was right and they got everything in the picture.
about photographers and taking pictures of things and the jets are one of there pics.
its verry acceptable to me its just a great pic.

i really like this picture because it shows an eye. i also really like this picture how on the eye is a reflection of mountains. i commend this photo upon there creativity to take a picture of not only a eye but getting the mountain in the reflection and getting the angle just right to do it.

top 3 of 40

-->
-Vanderlei Almeida-
what made me pick this photo is mostly for the courage the dog has to stay at his owners grave for the 2nd straight day.
the thing that grabbed me was the positioning in this photo showing all the holes in the ground and also including this dog.
the reason i picked this photo out of all the 40 photos is for sure because of this loving dog and great quality of this picture!
-Justin Lane-Pool-
what made me pick this photo is the fact that this dad stops at his sons name and gets on one knee its just verry touching.
i like how in the picture they show the dad and also including the rest of the structure.
this is one i picked from the 40 because its very important to remember who died in 9/11 .
- Gary Cosby Jr-
what made me pick this photo is because his house was destroyed and he rescued his dog.
i like the way they put the man and his dog as the subject because its a big deal to rescue animals.
this one i picked from the 40 because its a great picture and very touching.
